Our Goats are Outstanding in their Field

 

Our Sales Policy on goats purchased from us.

Taking reservations for newborn Boer goat kids! We will have fullblood, purebred and percentage kids arriving from November through April.  We have registered herd stock bred for breeding stock, meat and show.

We require a 50% deposit to hold any animal, which is non-refundable and is due within seven (7) days to hold any animal. Any kid purchased will be picked up on their weaning date or will be charged $1.50 per day for boarding costs.  Any other animal purchased will be picked up within one (1) week of purchase (unless other arrangements are made) and will be charged $1.50 per day for boarding costs.

Base Price for Quality Breeding Does:

Percentage does/doelings start at $250.00 at weaning
Purebred does/doelings start at $400.00 at weaning
Fullblood does/doelings start at $500.00 at weaning

Base Price for Quality Breeding Bucks:
Fullblood bucks/bucklings start at $650.00 at weaning
Purebred bucks/bucklings start at $500.00 at weaning

Wethers:

Show Wethers for 4-H & FFA Projects, pets or packing goats are $220 at weaning.
Meat/butcher goats are $220.00 at weaning and up to 75 lbs then $2.50 per lbs or current market price, which ever is more.  All wethers and market goats are sold “As Is.”  There will be no reduction in price due to a fault in the goat due to the fact that they are a terminal animal and are being sold as such.

 A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold any wether until weaning.

All breeding/show stock will be sold with application for ABGA registration and/or USBGA if appropriate. Some may be already registered.

Should anything happen to an animal upon which a deposit has been made while the animal is still in our possession, the buyer will have first choice of other animals for sale at or near the original selling price. If there are no similar animals available we will refund buyer’s deposit. What is considered a “similar” animal will be at our discretion.

We “GUARANTEE” all animals to be sound, healthy and free of disease (including CL & CAE) as of the sale date. A Vet’s invoice and/or autopsy report will be required stating the animal had a pre-existing condition which was unavoidable for refunds. Animal must be returned if alive at Buyer’s expense in order to receive any refund. All testing and the vet certificate are the responsibility of the Buyer. If tests are positive for a pre-existing condition, we will refund the purchase price. This guarantee does not apply to any animals bought and sold where it has been disclosed by the Seller to the Buyer that the animal has/had a problem (i.e. teat structure, bite, pigment, a previous healed injury or illness, etc.) and the Buyer still desires to purchase the animal.

Bred / Breeding Guarantee:

Bucks: Should any buck seven (7) months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on does known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported to the Seller within five (5) months following date of purchase. The Seller will then have the right and privilege of ninety (90) days to prove the buck a breeder after its return to Seller. A Vet’s invoice, certificate or letter indicating that a semen test was performed that the buck has active semen shall constitute proof that the buck is a breeder. Also previous kids born of the buck shall establish the buck as a breeder if the kids were born within the preceding twelve (12) months prior to sale. No guarantee is given that semen collected from a buck will freeze.

Does: Does are guaranteed to be breeders. In the event a female is claimed to be a non-breeder, after being bred regularly to a buck known to be a breeder and after being treated by a licensed veterinarian the matter must be reported in writing to the seller within five (5) months of sale date. Seller shall have six (6) additional months in which to prove any such female(s) a breeder and may use any registered buck of the breed available to him/her. Any female returned will be at the Buyer’s risk and expense.

No guarantee is given that a pregnant female will deliver live kids or that she will carry kids full term nor the kids carried will not be mummified. Seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the female has been sold for sickness not apparent at sale time. DOES SOLD EXPOSED WITH SERVICE MEMOS ARE NOT GUARANTEED BRED.

Exception to Guarantee: In case where the animal is subject to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee is null and void.

Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the Seller are at Buyer’s expense. No incidental expenses such as feed, care, AI signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc., will be charged by either party when making settlement. If Seller is successful in proving the animal in question to be a breeder, then said animal will be reclaimed by the Buyer at his/her expense after the weaning of any kids birthed by the doe in question. Any prodigy of the doe are the property of the Seller and Buyer agrees to do everything necessary to register any such prodigy with the association designated by the Seller. Should the Seller fail to so prove the animal a breeder, then Buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement. If there are no satisfactory replacements available, Seller has the option to refund the original purchase price of the doe. What is considered a “satisfactory” animal will be at Seller’s discretion. In no event shall Seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.

Rights and Obligations: The above terms and conditions shall constitute a contract between the Buyer and Seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. Claims on an animal after their resale to a third party shall void this contract and Seller will have no further obligation to Buyer.

Prices are subject to change without notice. As goats grow and mature it takes more to maintain them and their purchase price is increased accordingly.
